Bowling

Details

Students who wish to be involved in Bowling should pay attention to the schedule if they are involved in multiple events, as bowlers need to be present for the entire event, currently scheduled for Friday morning. Students will be unable to participate in events that also require their presence on Friday morning of L.E.S.T.

Bowlers must wear bowling shoes. (Note:  Bowling shoes are available at the bowling venue; the rental fee is covered by the school’s entry fee.)

How to Participate

All teams must be pre-registered by the deadline. Registration details and deadlines are found on the Registration Page.

Each school may only have one team of two 5th-6th grade students or one team of two 7th-8th grade students with a substitute for each player. Participating schools for this event will be charged an additional entry fee of $30.00/team, payment due at the time of registration.

Regulations

1. Only coaches can be down at the approach near the bowling lanes.
2. Edits to score must be done by the Bowling Adjudicator or the front desk.
3. Anytime a foot crosses the foul line the score for that ball is 0.
4. Any harm to the facility or equipment will result in a disqualification.
5. The two students who start the game must finish the frame they are in before a change can made with the substitute.
6. One participant cannot bowl two frames in a row, they must bowl every other frame.
7. Sportsmanship must be displayed at all times.

Awards

Awards will be given for 1st-3rd place for each grade-leveled team. Bowling is a team sport so a trophy will be presented for 1st-3rd Place.
