Service Award

Description

The L.E.S.T. Northwest Service Awards will be given to schools that gather significant amounts of food in a local food drive(s). The food should be given to a local food bank or other organization that collects food for the needy. The food drive(s) can take place anytime from the first day of the current school year until January 31st. The weight of the food and a photo or photos of the food should be submitted to the L.E.S.T. Director (lestnorthwest@gmail.com) by February 4, 2023.

Spirit Award

Description

The L.E.S.T. Northwest Spirit Award is an award which emphasizes the total contribution of one of the participating schools to the spirit of L.E.S.T. during the entire tournament. 

Recipient

One spirit award is given under this designation:  L.E.S.T. Northwest Spirit Award 

Implementation

The L.E.S.T. Northwest planning committee will use various sources of feedback to determine the Spirit Award recipient. 

Guidelines

Spirit guidelines for LEST Northwest are based on core values of Christian education:

  • Love of God 
  • Thankful use of personal talents 
  • Service to others

Specific sportsmanship guidelines for L.E.S.T. Northwest flow from these values: 

  1. Positive attitude in student performance and fan support in L.E.S.T. Northwest activities 
  2. Fair play in all competition 
  3. Respect for others and for others’ property in all aspects of the L.E.S.T. Northwest experience
